STORY

Neanna and Jason had been, unbeknownst to them, living on the same block for over eight years before they met at Roberta's in Bushwick. Neanna was taking care of the gardens outside and Jason was managing the restaurant. For over a year he worked inside while she worked outside, and never did their paths cross. But he knew who she was, he knew because Neanna had chosen to accept payment for her long hours in the garden in the form of food and wine as opposed to money, so once a week Jason was comping a bill for someone he knew existed but had never met. One day he spotted her and asked their friend and co-worker Amanda "Who's that girl everyone's talking to?" and she said, "THAT'S NEANNA!". They met that night and had a few laughs at the bar. They managed to hang out a few times with some mutual friends, but at the beginning of December, just a few weeks after they'd met and before he could ask her on a date, she was off to California for work for three months. So it seemed their time was over before it even had time to begin. One month later though, when she returned to NY for a week to visit, she went to Roberta's fresh off the plane and the two were inseparable all week.

But alas, off she went again. As he told her goodbye he said, "When you come back you're going to fall madly in love with me, and I'll be the best boyfriend ever!". She dubiously laughed, kissed him goodbye and drove 3000 miles to the other side of the country. What came next nobody could have expected, except of course Jason, who already knew. Despite the three hour time difference Neanna and Jason talked on the phone for two hours every day, an hour before each of them went to work in the morning and an hour before each of them went to bed every night. One month after she left Brooklyn he flew to California to visit her for a week. They each already knew they were in love with the other and neither of them wasted one minute holding back their feelings. The week ended and off to New York Jason returned. It would be three more months before they lived in the same city again. They spent the next few months flying across country to visit each other and the day she got back to Brooklyn he moved into her apartment with her. Two months later he quit managing the restaurant and they hit the road together for the first of what would become many epic cross country journeys. It was on this first trip together that they happened across BaseCamp 37° in Utah, a place that would soon become an important part of their story together and a keystone to their future together.

Perhaps its because they spent so much time apart at the beginning of their relationship, or maybe they actually love spending all their time together, but now three years later they're hardly apart. They work together, they live together, they travel the world together. He cooks her dinner every night and brings her tea every morning. He wears her jewelry and tells her he loves her every day. She supports his creativity to no end and encourages him to believe in himself as much she does. She wears his sweaters and tells him she loves him every day. They have no idea what the future has in store for them but they know whatever it is they'll face it together.
